Judy received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University. She is a licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent her entire career working in social services with adults, teens, children, and families. She has worked in schools (elementary through college), hospitals, and agencies.

Judy spent 7 years as a drug/alcohol counselor in Germany working with military personnel and their families. She has extensive training and experience in the areas of substance abuse, emerging adults, trauma work, multicultural issues and family dynamics.  She works with adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, transitional issues, parenting issues, gender identification, etc.  Judy has worked in the Retreat's inpatient and residential services and she ran the Intensive Outpatient Program for children and adolescents. Her approach is systems oriented and "eclectic" utilizing cognitive behavioral approaches, positive psychology, and solution focused therapy.  Her goal is to develop respectful relationships that honor personal choice and empowerment.
