Nerissa Russo received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Substance Abuse and Addiction from Antioch University New England in 2014. She is licensed in the state of Vermont as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and holds certification as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
Nerissa was an intern in the evening IOP program in 2013-2014. After she graduated she moved to Florida where she worked for two-and-a-half years on a Crisis Stabilization Unit while obtaining a license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida before relocating back to New England in spring 2017.
Nerissa’s eclectic style often integrates motivational interviewing, solution-focused treatments, cognitive behavioral approaches, and dialectical behavioral therapy skills in group and individual therapy working with adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
