Marcy Miller, M.A.

Doctoral Psychology Intern

Marcy Miller, M.A. is a doctoral psychology intern at the Brattleboro Retreat and a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, CA.

 Marcy received her BA in Organizational Studies from Eckerd College and her MA in Psychological Science from the University of South FL. Before pursuing her PhD, Marcy worked at Creative Clay Cultural Arts Center as Director of Human Resources and Artlink, an arts-focus mentorship and employment program. During her doctoral training, Marcy participated in two years of early practicum and supervision with child and community psychologist, Alison Pinto, Ph.D. in St. Petersburg, FL, and received an additional two years of practicum training providing therapy and assessment services at Bailey Psychology Group in Safety Harbor, FL. Marcy has experience working with adults, children, and families with a wide range of concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, ASD, relationship conflict, and adjustment disorders. Marcy’s approach to therapy is interpersonal, integrative, and strengths based. She emphasizes developing a collaborative relationship with her clients and uses a range of empirically support therapeutic techniques (e.g., Person-Centered, ACT, CBT, DBT, Solution Focused). Using a goal-oriented framework, she assists clients in gaining insight, incorporating practical therapeutic tools, and enacting desired changes.
