Dr. Alfred Goldyne is a board-certified psychiatrist and Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has been a dedicated member of the Brattleboro Retreat team for the past five years.
Dr. Goldyne earned his bachelor of arts degree in History, cum laude, from UCLA, and attended medical school at The Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He completed an internship in internal medicine at New York Medical College, Westchester Medical Center, with a plan to proceed into neurology training, when exposure to and growing interest in psychiatry led him to switch fields and embark on a career in mental health.
Dr. Goldyne has a special interest in the treatment of anxiety and depression, bipolar disorder, and the unique mental health challenges associated with aging. He is also deeply committed to addressing the needs of individuals in rural communities, striving to make high-quality psychiatric care accessible to underserved populations. Outside the hospital, he loves the outdoors of beautiful Southern Vermont and playing music.
