Substance Abuse Clinician
Joanne Larson received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University New England. She currently holds an Apprentice Addiction Professional degree in substance abuse counseling and is working toward licensure for both Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC).
Joanne joined the Starting Now program in 2012 as an intern. She worked as a crisis clinician the year prior, helping people of all ages with urgent mental health and/or addiction treatment needs.
Joanne’s style often integrates solution focused and cognitive behavioral approaches with holistic styles while exploring the goals and needs with individuals in directing them towards their recovery.
